ARTIST STATEMENT

“My work explores emotion through contrast — softness and intensity, light and shadow, beauty and weight. I’m drawn to creating moody, romantic paintings that feel both intimate and atmospheric, often inspired by elements of nature.

Whether I’m painting landscapes or more imaginative, expressive portraits, I use natural forms as a way to reflect internal states. Florals, shifting light, and organic textures become tools to hold feeling — not just to depict a scene, but to evoke something deeper and less easily defined.

My work is less about a fixed narrative and more about creating a mood — something that lingers, invites interpretation, and allows the viewer to feel rather than simply observe.”
