Oh, How I love to Paint.

I can remember as a child how exciting it was to get the roll of watercolors with two paint brushes ready to explore them. And don’t forget a new box of crayons with a coloring book. It is truly amazing how these two mediums can take you away from all your troubles. This is what started my love to paint. From the joys of childhood to high school classes art was always important to me. After marriage my first formal instructions came in Pass Christian, Mississippi. It was so exciting. Especially, being their with people who love what you love. After the children arrived and they got older I joined an Art League in Connecticut. This led me to take classes with a wonderful lady in her basement which was in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Both these ladies taught me very well. I will confess I do “channel” these ladies when I paint very often. Our community college in Connecticut had a variety of classes in Fine Arts which I took. Now, I have a corner in my sunroom to paint to my heart’s content while instrumental music plays in the background.
