ARTIST STATEMENT
The natural world is an enduring source of inspiration in my work. The quiet beauty of the landscapes that surround me becomes the foundation for each painting—a visual response to the personal and emotional connection I feel with nature. Through my art, I aim to convey not only what I see, but what I feel: the stillness, the energy, the light.
Working with soft pastels allows me to approach each composition with immediacy and spontaneity. Free from the constraints of mixing or extensive preparation, pastels offer a direct, tactile experience that mirrors the intuitive way I connect with the landscape. Each piece begins with a carefully curated palette selected for that moment’s mood and light, enabling me to respond quickly and instinctively, even within the constraints of limited studio time.
Ultimately, I strive to create work that resonates emotionally—inviting the viewer to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the natural world through a lens of color, light, and atmosphere.
